Long Drivers of Europe are delighted to announce the RE/MAX European Long Drive Championship Finals will be held on Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th September 2008 at Whittlebury Park Golf & Country Club, Northamptonshire, England.
By spreading the finals over two days we can accomodate even more players and concentrate the action into a much more exciting format.
The venue, close to the Silverstone motor racing circuit, is perfect for long drive and great for spectators. The facilities on-site will include grandstands and trade tents, a 2-tier driving range, state-of-the-art simulators and the best clubhouse facilities in Europe. See www.whittlebury.com for more information.
National finals in an extended number of countries (plus some regional qualifiers) will be held over the spring and summer and players can qualify for the finals at any of these events. The format for qualifying will be as in previous years but different national rounds will have various numbers qualifying from each. The top three players (Open) plus one Senior and one Lady will again qualify from the European finals for the RE/MAX World finals in Mesquite. An Order of Merit league will again be in operation throughout the season for the Open Division, with the top two players also qualifying for Mesquite.

ZERO FRICTION TEES PEG IT UP WITH LONG DRIVERS OF EUROPE
Long Drivers of Europe (LDE) announced today that the widely popular Zero Friction Tees, manufactured by Excel Golf Tee, Inc., would be the official tee at the RE/MAX European Long Drive Championship 2007.
Competitors in the RE/MAX ELDC will be permitted to use a variety of Zero Friction Tees up to a maximum of 4”.
Zero Friction Tees, preferred by many PGA Tour players, are made of biodegradable material. They offer less resistance at impact between the golf ball and the tee, which equates to more distance.
Noted Mike Herron, business development manager for Excel Golf Tee, Inc. “In addition to facilitating driving distance, Zero Friction Tees substantially lower spin rates at impact. That factor gives golfers more control with their drives.”
Excel Golf Tee, Inc. is based in Itasca, Illinois. More information on its high-performance line of tees is available at www.zerofrictiontees.com
“We welcome Zero Friction Tees as an LDE partner,” said Neil Hodgson, Long Drivers of Europe Managing Director. “Zero Friction Tees have quickly become the tee of choice among long drive professionals. The performance features of these tees are incomparable.”
